1. Visit a playground at Evans Town Center Park

Located in the heart of Evans, GA adjacent to The Plaza development project, Evans Towne Center Park (ETCP) is home to the following amenities, which help to bring memorable experiences to life. This park has the following amenities:

2. Splash at Rae's Creek

The Rea's Creek Aqueduct is a remarkable pre-Civil War structure in Augusta, Georgia. Now part of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area, the aqueduct is part of a park that fascinates visitors because of its ancient stone arches, rocky outcrops and the rushing waters of one of the best waterfalls in Augusta's River Region.

3. Celebrate PRIDE at The Augusta Pride Festival 

The Primary Mission of Augusta Pride is to promote visibility and pride and to provide cultural unity and diversity education for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Ally (LGBTQA) communities of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). A Secondary Mission is to initiate and support efforts to raise awareness of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases in the LGBTQA community of the CSRA and to contribute to efforts to provide resources in support of those living with HIV.

4. Go to the Downtown August Richmond County library!

So many free events daily, Including Lego Days, Stem Activities, Scavenger Hunts, and Story Time!!

6. Take a hike at North Augusta's Greenway Trail

Try this 12.8-mile out-and-back trail near North Augusta, South Carolina. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 4 h 5 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, road biking, and trail running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

7. Go on a mural hunt Downtown Augusta, Ga. 

Artists of all backgrounds have left their mark around Augusta –– leaving some of the most vibrant murals throughout the city. Trust us, they're all worth an Instagram feature. Be sure to have your phone in tow and your walking shoes on to enjoy.

8. Take a bike ride at the Augusta Canal.

Hikers, cyclists and runners regularly head for the Augusta Canal’s wide, level towpath, once used by mules to pull canal boats to the Canal headgates. Additional trails into wooded and urban areas add variety to the outdoor experience. 

9. Get wet at Gateway Park

Gateway Park is one of Columbia County's newest parks located in Grovetown, Georgia. It is located across from the Exhibition Center.

The park features a 150,000 square foot open meadow, paved walking path, playground, pavilion, and a mega splash area

10. See a movie under the stars at The Big Mo

The Monetta Drive-In Theater opened as a single screen movie theater in 1951. It closed in 1986 and re-opened in 1999. The second screen was added in 2005 and the third screen was added in 2011. The giant peach was built to house the digital projector on the Main Field in 2014.

Come out and join us for a unique experience-movies under the stars at the drive-in theater! We generally offer three double features each weekend during the spring, summer and fall. The schedule for the upcoming weekend is usually updated by Tuesday morning.
