COLD AND COVID!

Prepping Winter weather and COVID safety

It's cold and it's COVID! Is anyone REALLY ready??  We know it's inevitable, so a little time spent preparing now will help make sure your family is ready for a cold winter weather and the COVID protocols.

Here are some ideas to get you started:
  • Go through summer clothes, packing away those that will work for next year and donating those that are too small.
  • As you change over closets, try on winter clothes for this season. Donate any that are too small.
  • Try on jackets, hats, and mittens. Find a central location in your entry way or near a back door to keep everything out and ready so you aren’t scrambling before (or after!) that first snowfall.
  • Create a bin or basket for each family member to store their mittens, hats, and scarves.
  • Store bicycles, balls, and other outdoor toys until next spring.
  • Make sure tire pressure is sufficient. Make sure you have a window scraper for each car.
  • Stock up on cold and flu medicines … and maybe even some hot chocolate and herbal tea to help you survive the season!
  • Change out your toothbrushes more often.
  • Wipe surfaces and door knobs more frequently.
  • Order more mask and keep them everywhere.
