Non-Profit Spotlight ~ WLJ Angel Gowns

Gone too soon .... But never ever forgotten!

By Bella Bruce ~ WLJ Angel Gowns June 3, 2017

WLJ Angel Gowns is a non-profit organization that is named after a sweet Baby boy named Wyatt Lee Johnson, who gained his angel wings way too soon on June 2, 2016. Wyatt was diagnosed with a fatal disease called Bilateral Multicystic Dysplastic Kidneys when his mommy was pregnant with him. His mommy and daddy decided to carry him to term even though they knew their time with him would be very short. When he was born at only 30 weeks he was 3lbs 9oz and 15in long, and finding anything for him to fit in was almost impossible. The extra pain and heartache that his family felt from having to shop for him something in multiple baby stores was enough for them to want to prevent another family from going through that extra heartache too. This is when WLJ Angel Gowns was created. They take donated wedding gowns and other gowns and their volunteer seamstresses transform them into Angel Wraps & Angel Gowns. These wraps and gowns are made to fit a baby lost at any gestation and babies that are lost shortly after birth. All Angel Gowns & Angel Wraps are donated to families who need them. The families donโ€™t pay anything. WLJ Angel Gowns is ran completely on donations and volunteers. Donations consist of things such as gowns, sewing supply, and financial donations that help cover shipping.

ย If you find yourself in need of an Angel Gown or Angel Wrap, or if you would like to donate financially or by volunteering your time, please find them on Facebook under WLJAngelGowns, or you can always email at WLJ6216@outlook.com.
